We welcome Mengxi Wang from Beijing

Mengxi Wang has joined the DPE team in October 2023 and will be pursuing her doctorate under the primary supervision of Prof. Stefan Bauernschuster. Mengxi holds a M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Bonn and is currently finishing her M.Sc. in Bioeconomy from the Technical University of Munich, where she majores in green technology. 

Before joining DPE, Mengxi worked as a research assistant at Fraunhofer ISI, focusing on the green transition to a bio-based economy and the development of public charging infrastructure for battery electric vehicles in Europe. In her new role at DPE, she will further pursue her research interests in sustainability transitions and relate them to the socio-economic impacts of digital platform ecosystems.

In her spare time, Mengxi enjoys playing the violin at the university orchestra and growing plants from seeds.
