We are thrilled to announce the incredible success of the first-ever DPE Forum, held from June 4th to 5th 2024, in the picturesque town of Passau! Under the engaging motto “Bytes and Behemoths: Understanding Power in Digital Platform Ecosystems”, this landmark event has set a new standard in interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation.

The Research Training Group "Digital Platform Ecosystems (DPE)" at the Universität Passau, funded by the German Research Foundation, proudly hosted this unique conference, which gathered leading researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. Together, they shared groundbreaking research and insights on the ever-evolving landscape of digital platform ecosystems. 

A heartfelt thank you to our keynote speakers Marshall Van Alstyne and Martin Selmayr and our panelists Elizabeth J. Altman, Don Lange, Kelly Martin, Pinar Ozcan and Sebastian Wismer! Your insightful contributions and thought-provoking discussions were the heart of the DPE Forum. Your expertise and dedication have truly enriched this conference, inspiring future research and collaboration.

What made the DPE Forum truly special was its interdisciplinary approach. Experts from management, marketing, information systems, economics, communication science, and related fields came together, creating a vibrant tapestry of knowledge and perspectives.
